Technically the Fisker Karma's a compact. They base it on interior volume and not external size. So you're not wrong, just watch out for that brave mini cooper that enforces parking.

We could make it a compact...
The Volvo too!

I get why they do compact spaces, but they really piss me off, because they're too small for anything larger than a Smart ForTwo.
That's why I just park at the end of the parking lot away from anyone else. A little extra walking won't kill me.
Although 20 years ago I used to love my CRX because it would fit anywhere. The best was when I had a 15 passenger van halfway into the space and I was still able to park behind it without leaving the rear end hanging out.

Also, a Jeep and GMC thing "fit" in one every day

Which, quite frankly, is a stupid measurement.

It's tough to be sure without data to back me up, but I'm reasonably confident that pretty much every space where I live is 'compact' by American standards.

I was looking at 300zx's the other day and was wondering if you would recommend them as well as if they would be a good idea for a reliable daily, that would be doing around 300 miles per week on rough michigan roads. Also I'm 6'3" and am wondering about headroom.

Headroom? Fine. Winter? Fine. Reliability? Lol.

Here too in Norway. I grew up in the USA, but when I go back home now I am amazed at how big the spaces are!
